It is believed to be a lower-price version of the Colt Cobra revolver. The Colt Agent featured a less highly polished blue finish and simplified and grips with a shorter bottom.

About Colt Agent

Colt Agent is a lightweight revolver that was introduced in 1962. It was in production for a decade, till 1972, when production was stopped.

It is believed to be a lower-price version of the Colt Cobra revolver. The Colt Agent featured a less highly polished blue finish and simplified and grips with a shorter bottom.

The original Agent weighed only 14 oz., with only 2” barrel, chambered in .38 Special calibers. In 1973, a new version of the Agent was released with a shrouded barrel and a weight of 16 oz. Production of the revived Colt Agent model was discontinued in 1986.
